If you’re unfamiliar with the world of outdoor gear, Hi-Tec is one of the mainstays in the industry. They’ve made super comfy and well-made hiking shoes for years. But now they’re branching out even more with some great new products I’m stoked to share with you (and give away to you, too).
V-Lite Snowflake Chukka Boots
Don’t you want a pair of these so you can tell people they’re your “Chukka” boots? I mean, it’s a lot more fun than Ugg.
These insulated boots are a dark chocolately brown. I fell in love with them right out of the box. The inside of them feel like fuzzy slippers yet they are sturdy enough to plow through snow or do some daring hikes. They also slip on and off easily yet my feet don’t move around when wearing them.
I first wore them for the NC State Fair, which if you’ve ever been to a state fair, you know that means lots and LOTS of walking. I’m talking three hours or more of walking… my feet felt FINE afterwards. No blisters, no sore heels, nothing. Since then, I’ve worn them hiking as well as multiple times with a pair of jeans and cute top while running around town.
Once it gets really cold (and snowy out), the Chukkas will be perfect because the soles are made for winter traction. I know I’m looking forward to this because last year I had no good shoes for the snow (I live in Eastern NC for crying out loud) and had trudge through it carrying Big Roo. This year I’ve got Chukkas ready so bring it, snow!
All in all, I love the versatility… they can help you trudge through snow or just wear as an every day boot. I’ll be getting good use out of them that’s for sure.

Sunlight Peak Shell Jacket
I’ve been wearing Hi-Tec boots for years now. And occasionally, while sifting through the racks at my fave outdoor store I’ve wished they had an apparel line (although I’m sure I didn’t say “apparel” in my head who really says that unless you’re in the biz).
My telepathic signals finally got through because a new outerwear apparel line launched this year!
The new line includes everything from sporty fleece to vests to jackets. I received the Sunlight Peak Shell jacket to try out. Once we got past the massive heat wave, I started putting it to the test. It’s my go-to jacket right now. Going on a walk with the kids? I wear it. Running to Target? I wear it. Going on a hike? Well, of COURSE I wear it.
This jacket is great. It’s waterproof (which I put to the test when I had to take both kids to Target in the pouring rain) and has a hoodie that you can roll back into the collar when you don’t want to use it. There are three outside pockets and one inside one to house all my stuff.
The jacket fits me to a T and has velcro around the wrists so I can seal the cold out. One of my fave features of this jacket are the armpit zippers (forgive me if there’s a technical name for it). When you’re working up a sweat and it’s cool out, the first thing you want to do is take off your jacket… and then you take it off and get a cold sweat. Enter the beloved armpit zipper. I let off some steam (haha) on our most recent hike but unzipping those bad boys. No more cold hiking sweats!

To enter, please leave a comment telling me how you’re getting outside this fall (even if it’s walking from the car to Target, I’ll take it. LOL).
For additional entries, do any one of the following and leave a separate comment for each one:
The contest ends on November 23 at 11:59 and the winner will be announced Wednesday, November 24. This contest is open U.S. residents only. If the winner’s size is out of stock, Hi-Tec will replace with another style of equal of lesser value.
I was provided a jacket and pair of boots to wear, inspect, hike in, walk in and generally enjoy. All the opinions are my own, mmmkay.
Two giveaways valued at over $100 each? This rocks. Thanks Hi-Tec and good luck, ladies!
