Oh no, not the whole family. Just the kids, people, just the kids!
We have a Christmas Eve pajama tradition in this house. As a kid I remember getting new PJs the night before Christmas. A few Christmases ago, I thought it was perfect tradition to pass down to Big Roo. This year, the cuteness factor just increased exponentially now that I’ve got two munchkins. Matching PJs will continue until I get a sulky “Mommmmm, we’re too old for that!” from an embarrassed grade schooler. And then we’ll go a couple years after that just for good measure.
Some shots from our very Merry Christmas, complete with matching pajamas…
On Christmas Eve, they unwrapped the matching PJs then went to doing what they do best- Big Roo squealing to make Little Roo laugh and Little Roo gnawing on the remote.
AND then an evening wouldn’t be complete without Little Roo lurching himself onto Big Roo. I see wrestling matches in my future.
On Christmas day, we opened presents of course.
Our budding artist (the one who was COMPLETELY uninterested in art until recently) hugged his new Melissa & Doug watercolors.
I think someone likes their new toy. Too bad he didn’t want to unwrap anything (he was obsessed with crawling to the remote control instead). However, he did love his presents… Is this not the pose of the happiest baby ever?
How was your holiday? Leave me a link to a holiday post if you have one. I’d love to see how your day was, too!
P.S. Stay tuned for a year in review post later this week. I’ll be back into full swing in 2011!
